I’ve been the club instructor of the University College London Jitsu Club since 1997. Jiu Jitsu, meaning the gentle or yielding art, is neither gentle nor yielding.
I’m writing a book about an epic train journey, from London to Hong Kong and back, via Moscow, Beijing and Mongolia in the dead of winter. I’ve also had a very bad idea for a book about books, and I might have to do that too.
